Australian Unemployment Rate increased to 5.7%
According to the latest ABS figures Australian employment increased 39,100 to 11,973,200. Full-time employment increased 39,300 to 8,166,200 and part-time employment decreased 200 to 3,807,000. Unemployment increased 17,000 to 725,200.

UK Unemployment Rate stable at 4.8%
Between May to July 2016 and August to October 2016, the number of people in work was little changed, the number of unemployed people decreased, and the number of people not working and not seeking or available to work (economically inactive) increased. There were 31.76 million people in work, little changed compared with May to July 2016 but 342,000 more than for a year earlier.

NFP report in line with market expectations
U.S. hiring picked up in November and the unemployment rate tumbled to a nine-year low while wages unexpectedly declined, providing a mixed picture of progress in the labor market. The 178,000 gain followed a 142,000 rise in October that was less than previously estimated, a Labor Department report showed Friday. The median forecast in a Bloomberg survey called for a 180,000 advance. The jobless rate fell to 4.6 percent from 4.9 percent as people entered the labor force and found jobs, though the overall participation rate dropped for a second month.

Australian Unemployment Rate fell to 5.6%
Monthly trend employment in Australia decreased in October 2016, according to figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) today. In October 2016, trend employment decreased by 1,000 persons to 11,946,600 persons, the first decrease in the trend series since November 2013. This slight fall in trend employment reflected an increase in part-time employment of 8,400 persons being more than offset by a decrease in full-time employment of 9,500 persons.
