New Motor Vehicle Sales decreased by 0.5%
The December 2015 trend estimate fornew motor vehicle sales (97 683) has decreased by 0.1% when compared with November 2015. In seasonally adjusted terms sales decreased by 0.5%.When comparing national trend estimates for December 2015 with November 2015, sales of Passenger and Sports utility vehicles decreased by 0.4% and 0.1% respectively. Over the same period sales for Other vehicles increased by 0.8%.
Five of the eight states and territories experienced a decrease in new motor vehicle sales when comparing December 2015 with November 2015. New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory all recorded a percentage decrease of 0.2%, while the Australian Capital Territory recorded a decrease of 1.5%. Over the same period, South Australia recorded an increase of 1.3%.
Aussie is currently being traded around 0.69 area. Pair is likely to find support around 0.68 handle and resistance above 0.6980 level. There will be no major data releases in the rest of the session.
