USD sharply down after NFP report

Total nonfarm payroll employment increased in March (+126,000). Analysts were predicting increase by 246,000. Over the prior 12 months, employment growth had averaged 269,000 per month. Eurozone CPI up in March

Euro area annual inflation is expected to be -0.1% in March 2015, up from -0.3% in February. Analysts were expecting 0.3% decrease. Looking at the main components of euro area inflation, services is expected to have the highest annual rate in March (1.0%, compared with 1.2% in February), followed by food, alcohol & tobacco (0.6%, compared with 0.5% in February), non-energy industrial goods (-0.1%, stable compared with February) and energy (-5.8%, compared with -7.9% in February).

U.K. Unemployment Rate remained unchanged in February

Claimant count Change was down by 31,000 from January 2015, in line with market forecasts. This was down 380,500 from a year earlier,but 12,800 higher than the pre-downturn trough of 778,400 for February 2008.  Read more...

Australian unemployment rate fell to 6.3%

Number of employed in Australia increased 15,600 to 11,652,400 from a revised January 2015 estimate, in line with market forecasts. Full-time employment increased 10,300 to 8,062,000 and part-time employment increased 5,300 to 3,590,400 from a revised January 2015 estimate.  Read more...
