It remains to be seen how the negotiations go and what the UK can get out of the talks as a lot depend on how the talks go. Ideally, the UK would like to retain many of the existing privileges it has but the Euro leaders would be loathe to give it as they would like to send a stern message to the other countries that might be thinking of leaving the Eurozone.
Sterling slightly higher in a quiet Monday trade
There were no major data releases from the UK yesterday. The pound is surrounded with a lot of uncertainty and fear as the Article 50 has been officially invoked towards the end of last month and the negotiations between the Euro and the UK leaders are set to begin.
