Australian Trade Balance surplus rose to $3.57 billion
In trend terms, the balance on goods and services was a surplus of $3,320m in February 2017, an increase of $545m (20%) on the surplus in January 2017. In seasonally adjusted terms, the balance on goods and services was a surplus of $3,574m in February 2017, an increase of $2,071m on the surplus in January 2017. Read more...

China's Trade Balance missed market expectations
China's trade balance for February, in Yuan terms, came in at -60.4 billion CNY vs 172.5bn expected and 354.5bn last. Exports came at 4.2% y/y vs 14.6% expected and 15.9% last, while imports were +44.7% y/y vs 23.1% expected and 25.2% last.

US Trade Balance deficit rose to $48.5 billion
The U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, through the Department of Commerce, announced today that the goods and services deficit was $48.5 billion in January, up $4.2 billion from $44.3 billion in December, revised. January exports were $192.1 billion, $1.1 billion more than December exports. January imports were $240.6 billion, $5.3 billion more than December imports.

Australian trade surplus narrows unexpectedly in Janaury
Australia’s trade surplus narrowed unexpectedly January, as imports rose and exports declined. After seasonal adjustments, Canberra’s trade surplus stood at A$1.3 billion in January, down from a revised $3.3 billion the prior month, the national statistics bureau reported Thursday. Economists in a median estimate forecast the surplus to expand to $2.2 billion. Economists in a median estimate called for a surplus of $3.82 billion.
