Eurozone PPI unchanged in July

In July 2017, compared with June 2017, industrial producer prices remained stable in the euro area (EA19), while they rose by 0.1% in the EU28, according to estimates from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. In June 2017 prices decreased by 0.2% in the euro area and by 0.3% in the EU28. In July 2017, compared with July 2016, industrial producer prices rose by 2.0% in the euro area and by 2.3% in the EU28.

Eurozone GDP rose by 0.6% in Q2

Seasonally adjusted GDP rose by 0.6% in both the euro area (EA19) and the EU28 during the second quarter of 2017, compared with the previous quarter, according to a flash estimate published by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. In the first quarter of 2017, GDP grew by 0.5% in both zones.

Eurozone Industrial Production down by 0.6%

In June 2017 compared with May 2017, seasonally adjusted industrial production fell by 0.6% in the euro area (EA19) and by 0.5% in the EU28, according to estimates from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. In May 2017, industrial production rose by 1.2% in both zones. In June 2017 compared with June 2016, industrial production increased by 2.6% in the euro area and by 2.9% in the EU28.

Eurozone CPI increased by 1.3%

Euro area annual inflation is expected to be 1.3% in July 2017, stable compared with June 2017, according to a flash estimate from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.  The complete set of harmonised indices of consumer prices (HICP) for the euro area, EU and Member States is released around the middle of the month following the reference month. The next release with full data for July 2017 is scheduled for 17 August 2017.
