Australian Unemployment Rate rose to 6.0%

Australian employment decreased 7,900 to 11,894,500, thus missing forecasts on increase by 12,900. Full-time employment decreased 40,600 to 8,185,800 and part-time employment increased 32,700 to 3,708,700. Unemployment increased 30,200 to 761,400. The number of unemployed persons looking for full-time work increased 25,600 to 544,100 and the number of unemployed persons only looking for part-time work increased 4,600 to 217,300. Read more...

UK Unemployment Rate unchanged at 5.1%

The jobless rate in the U.K. held steady at a decade-low in December, while the average earnings index increased in line with expectations, painting a mixed picture of the labor market, official data showed on Wednesday. US Unemployment Rate near eight-year low

Eurozone Unemployment Rate at the lowest level since 2011

The euro area (EA19) seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate was 10.4% in December 2015, down from 10.5% in November 2015, and from 11.4% in December 2014. Analysts were predicting no change. This is the lowest rate recorded in the euro area since September 2011. The EU28 unemployment rate was 9.0% in December 2015, stable compared to November 2015, and down from 9.9% in December 2014.
