From Australia, yesterday, Home Loans figures were released. The trend estimate for the total value of dwelling finance commitments excluding alterations and additions rose 0.6%. Investment housing commitments rose 1.7%, while owner occupied housing commitments was flat. In seasonally adjusted terms, the total value of dwelling finance commitments excluding alterations and additions rose 2.2%. In seasonally adjusted terms Home Loans increased by 0.9%.
In the US session Empire State Manufacturing Index data was published. Business activity continued to grow modestly in New York State, according to firms responding to the January 2017 Empire State Manufacturing Survey.
The headline general business conditions index was little changed at 6.5. The new orders index fell to 3.1, pointing to a small increase in orders, and the shipments index held steady at 7.3.
There will be no major data releases from Australia tomorrow. In the US session CPI and Industrial Production figures will be published. Analysts forecast 0.3% increase in CPI and 0.8% rise in Industrial Production.
