Westpac Consumer Sentiment declined by 0.7%
A private indicator of Australian consumer sentiment declined in April, possibly signaling the start of a broader economic cool down. The Westpac-Melbourne Institute survey of consumer sentiment fell 0.7% from March, when it had risen by 0.1%. That left the index at 99.0, up 4.1 points from the same month last year.
