Australian Retail Sales rose 0.1% in November 2014, missing expectations on 0.4% increase. This follows a rise of 0.4% in October 2014 and a rise of 1.3% in September 2014. In trend terms retail sales rose 0.4% in November 2014.
The following industries rose in trend terms in November 2014: Food retailing (0.4%), Household goods retailing (0.5%), Department stores (0.6%), Cafes, restaurants and takeaway food services (0.3%) and Clothing and footwear (0.5%). Other retailing (-0.1%) fell in trend terms in November 2014.
After the data pair went slightly up, but found area around 0.8130 level to be too resistive in order to pullback and currently being traded around 0.8010 level. Later today, in the US session
NFP figures will be released.
