Number of unemployed in Germany decreased by 27,000, beating market expectations on a decrease by 2,000. This was a third consecutive month of decline. Roughly 43.1 million persons resident in Germany were in employment in November.
That was an increase of 417,000 or 1.0% compared with November 2013. In October 2014, the year-on-year rate of increase had been 1.0%, too. In November 2014, roughly 2.10 million people were unemployed, 25,000 more than a year earlier.
Data did not have any major impact on euro, which is currently being traded few points above 1.1870 area. Pair is likely to find support around 1.1820 level and resistance above 1.1930 area. Later today, Eurozone CPI and Unemployment Rate figures are scheduled for a release.
