Unemployment Claims increased to 285,000,
In the week ending January 30, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 285,000, an increase of 8,000 from the previous week's revised level. The previous week's level was revised down by 1,000 from 278,000 to 277,000. The 4-week moving average was 284,750, an increase of 2,000 from the previous week's revised average. The previous week's average was revised down by 250 from 283,000 to 282,750.
The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate was 1.7 percent for the week ending January 23, unchanged from the previous week's unrevised rate. The advance number for seasonally adjusted insured unemployment during the week ending January 23 was 2,255,000, a decrease of 18,000 from the previous week's revised level. The 4-week moving average was 2,252,750, an increase of 5,250 from the previous week's revised average.
Euro is currently being traded few points above 1.1190 level, Sterling is around 1.460 handle, while Aussie is around 0.7230 area.
