Germany exported goods to the value of 105.9 billion euros and imported goods to the value of 83.0 billion euros in September 2015. Based on provisional data, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that German exports increased by 4.4% and imports by 3.9% in September 2015 year on year. Compared with August 2015, exports increased by a calendar and seasonally adjusted 2.6%, and imports by 3.6%.
The foreign
trade balance showed a surplus of 22.9 billion euros in September 2015. In September 2014, the surplus amounted to 21.6 billion euros. In calendar and seasonally adjusted terms,
the foreign trade balance recorded a surplus of 19.4 billion euros in September 2015. Analysts were anticipating 20.4 billion euros.
