The number of unemployed registered at the offices of the Public Employment Services rose in October at 82,327 people, 2.01% from the previous month. Unemployment has always increased in October and throughout the time series. In the past eight years, it has increased on average in the month of October in 102,450 people.
In seasonally adjusted terms, unemployment fell by 6,727 people last month. The monthly variation of the seasonally adjusted unemployment has fallen in 28 of the last 30 months.
In the last year the registered unemployment has decreased by 350,435 people, the largest annual decline in registered unemployment in all the time series in October. The annual reduction of unemployment is around 8% (7.74%), a rate that was not reached in October since 1999.
Euro is currently being traded around 1.0970 area. Pair is likely to find support around 1.0930 handle and resistance above 1.1050 level.
