Total lending to individuals increased by £3.8 billion in June, compared to the average monthly increase of £3.0 billion over the previous six months. Analysts were expecting increase by £3.0 billion. The three-month annualised and twelve-month growth rates were 3.0% and 2.6% respectively.
Lending secured on dwellings increased by £2.6 billion in June, compared to the average monthly increase of £2.0 billion over the previous six months. The three-month annualised and twelve-month growth rates were 2.2% and 1.9% respectively. Gross lending secured on dwellings was £18.4 billion and repayments were £15.9 billion.
