Retail turnover in March 2015 in Germany increased 3.5% in real terms and 3.2% in nominal terms compared with the corresponding month of the previous year. The number of days open for sale was 26 in March 2015 and 26 in March 2014, too.
When adjusted for calendar and seasonal variations , the March turnover was in real terms 2.3 % and in nominal terms 1.8% smaller than in February 2015. Analysts were expecting 0.5% increase. Compared with the previous year, turnover in retail trade was in the first three months of 2015 in real terms 3.6% and in nominal terms 2.9% larger than in the corresponding period of the previous year.
After the data euro declined and is currently being traded slightly below 1.1080 area. Pair is likely to find support around 1.10 handle and resistance above 1.1150 level. Later today, Spanish CPI and
GDP, German Unemployment Change and Eurozone CPI and Unemployment Rate figures are scheduled for a release.
